1PL8 – 3rd Place Winner in State Pitch Competition

This summer one of VEI’s Alumni and Grid 407 participant, competed in a statewide business pitch competition with Veterans Florida. This virtual pitch consisted of nine veteran businesses from all over the state and in various industries.

Chef Rich

Chef Rich Rosado is the creator and host of “1PL8 Kitchen” and the author of the book “Food is Our Greatest Medicine,” which revolutionizes the way we view food. He is inspiring, educating and leadign the movement that we can live healthier lives through our food, just by simply eating healthy one plate at a time. This is the mantra he teaches his students through his culinary arts school, 1PL8. Prior to starting 1PL8, Chef Rich worked 20 plus years as an award-winning chef instructor at Le Cordon Bleu and as a Personal Chef to entertainers, business moguls and athletes, which included NBA All-Star Grant Hill.

After a successful career cooking which included teaching healthy cooking technique classes for major hospitals and organizations, including Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, Florida Hospital, UF Health Cancer Center, and Florida Diabetes Center, Chef Rich now hosts his national television cooking show that empowers consumers to use food as their greatest medicine. This had led him to continue his teachings with a preventative care programs that addresses and solves chronic illness and obesity through tangible and quantifiable results.
