Orlando, Fla. – The Orlando Economic Partnership (the Partnership) initiative formerly known as Orlando Tech Council (OTC) announced an official name change to Orlando Tech Community and a new membership structure to reflect a more community-driven approach to the Orlando region’s innovation ecosystem.

With a vision to address the life cycle of Orlando’s tech companies, no matter their stage of development, OTC’s new membership model facilitates more inclusivity, lowering the barriers to participation so entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes may join.

“The new formation of the Orlando Tech Community is designed for inclusion of technology leaders from companies of all sizes to guide the focus and direction of Orlando’s tech ecosystem,” said Partnership Chief Innovation Officer David Adelson.

“Now we’re reaching out to our tech community and allowing everyone from founders of startups and scaleups as well as leaders of our region’s enterprise level tech businesses to guide our community.”

OTC’s new membership structure has three levels beginning with “Member” set at $300, with benefits that include access to all social events, mentorship opportunities, collaboration and more. “Supporter” membership grants “Member” level access for two company representatives as well as participation on the OTC Round Table and sponsorship and spotlight opportunities. “Champion” level membership grants access to five company representatives, top sponsorship opportunities and the ability to sponsor a startup founder to join, among other benefits.

“The intent is for everyone to come together with equal representation and learn about and use the resources available within our community,” said Charlie Lewis, founder and CEO of BlueWave Resource Partners/Waterfall Ventures and chair of the Orlando Tech Community. “By doing so, OTC will be able to fully represent the people who are driving Orlando’s tech and innovation.”
