FreeMaximizing Business Value is a webinar for business owners who want to build a business that not only generates income for their family but wealth for their retirement years. Too often, business owners get ready to transition out of their business only to find it’s not worth what they thought and, in some cases, nobody wants to buy it. The goal of this webinar is provide the necessary information to help business owners begin to see their business as their most valuable asset and manage it accordingly.
The webinar consists of three major areas for consideration;

The roadmap to get there.
In step one we discuss where to begin. Assessing where you are at in this very moment is essential to determining where you will go. In this section we cover the basics of business valuation and equally important, the non-financial aspects of your business that significantly impact value and marketability.
Next, setting goals for the future is a critical step in planning ahead for an optimal exit. In this section, you will learn how to establish long and short term goals that drive business performance, tying directly to the value of your business. In tandem with setting business goals, we review non-business, personal goals that will help you achieve an exit with no regrets. Numerous studies have shown that a large number of business owners regret selling their business one year after, often times the result of not planning ahead for life after the sale.
Last, the webinar reviews the roadmap to success and accountability measures to achieve that success. Looking back at goals that were set in the planning phase, the roadmap features consistent stops along the way to review, assess, revise and continue forward. In this section, we also touch on your professional team and the role you should expect each to play.

Our Presenter, Gary Hallett
Gary is a business owner/entrepreneur with experience in business brokerage, lower middle market M&A and business valuation across a number of industries. Prior to starting Gateway Business Advisors and GW Business Valuations with his wife and business partner Nancy Hallett, Gary worked in the beverage industry at the bottling and franchise level across markets in Canada and the US. His experience has ranged from owning, operating (and eventually selling) his own small business to executive leadership in large corporations.
Gary is a Certified Business Intermediary with the International Business Brokers Association and holds a CM&AP designation from Kennesaw State University executive MBA program. His passion is helping business owners discover the true value of their most valuable asset and creating a pathway to build on that value prior to a transition at some point in the future.
