StarterStudio

StarterStudio supports Central Florida early-stage tech founders with the educational programming, coaching, funding and resources they need to transform their ideas into successful tech startups.

About

StarterStudio is the only nonprofit that supports Central Florida tech startup founders with the robust and comprehensive educational programming, coaching, funding and other resources they need to build successful companies locally.

Through accelerators and other free or low-cost programs offered at locations throughout the region, StarterStudio guides entrepreneurs along a continuous development path, whether they are at the idea, build or seed stage. At the same time, StarterStudio works with partners throughout Central Florida to strengthen the tech startup ecosystem and to elevate the region in the eyes of investors, educating them about the advantages of investing locally in tech startup companies. And it sponsors and organizes investor showcase events providing founders opportunities to pitch their companies to investors to whom they would not otherwise have access.

StarterStudio’s Evergreen Seed Fund provides founders whose companies reach certain milestones with financial support to leverage outside investment and reduce risk for the investors. The combination of educational programming, industry-specific and startup-specific mentoring, and seed funding makes StarterStudio a unique and powerful asset to the economic development of the region.

Three Stages of Accelerators are offered multiple times each year:

1) Idea Stage– a 6-week accelerator to push you to validate and test your business idea by talking to stakeholders and potential customers and building a sustainable business plan. This program takes place one evening a week for the duration – after business hours.

2) Build Stage– a 10-week hybrid accelerator focused on how to build and run a sustainable business and create successful go-to-market strategy.

3 )Seed Stage– a 90-day mentor driven accelerator for fast-growing, highly scalable companies, with at least two full-time founders, to get investment-ready and prepare for outside capital funding.
