At the Center for Business Development (CBD), we offer the following services:
· Business Advising
Receive one-on-one business coaching through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The SBDC provides business advising, access to training, tools and resources to help small businesses in Seminole County start, grow, expand and succeed.
· Business Incubation Program (BIP)
The purpose of the BIP is to create an atmosphere that encourages the growth of various businesses and contributes to the economic development of the region. The BIP is designed to support the success of its clients though business guidance services, coaching and collaboration. It offers low-cost office space for start-up businesses, or those who need a new home to grow their existing businesses. The private office space starts at $295 per month. The BIP clients have 24/7 access to their office facilities and shared resources such as Wi-Fi, a conference room and a kitchen??
· Foundation of Excellence
The Foundations of Excellence is an advisory board program designed to take second stage companies to their next level of growth. This program is designed with a six-pillar system to include the fundamental building blocks of a successful business.
· Institute for Training
Professional Development and Continuing Education non-credit courses are available to companies seeking additional training opportunities. Courses are offered online or in-person and can be customized to the employer’s needs.
· Training Grants
The Quick Response Training Grant (QRT) is a State-Funded training grant through CareerSource Florida that offers training dollars for companies in high-growth mode. In partnership with the Center for Business Development, this grant gives Seminole County businesses the opportunity to receive reimbursement for training new hires each year. The training grant is renewable annually and customizable to each company\’s needs.
· Elle Collective – Women’s Entrepreneur Program
Elle Collective serves women entrepreneurs and business owners at all stages of development: emerging (pre-venture/start-up), existing (in business 2+ years) and expanding (growing, hiring, etc.) Programming and events focus on the issues facing women-owned businesses and include education, technical assistance, networking, mentorship, leadership development, and more. You do not have to be a Seminole State student or Seminole County resident to participate. Learn more at: Elle Collective
